  Adapted from the Times-Union, 2/7/1994: Lena Cohen Grode, 88, formerly of Hudson Avenue, Albany, died Saturday evening at the Albany County Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Grode was born in New York City. She had lived in Albany for more than 70 years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Grode was a member of the Independent Benevolent Society in Albany. She was the widow of Julius Grode. Survivors include a son, Marvin Grode; a daughter, Laura Tepper; a brother, Nathan Cohen of Albany; a sister, Gertrude Gallup of Albany; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
