  EPSTEIN, SADYE K. 1915-2013 Sadye passed away on May 29th, two months before her 98th birthday, in her home in Oakland, CA. Sadye will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She came to Albuquerque from Denver in 1940 where she married Sam K. Epstein. In addition to raising her three boys, Sadye and Sam worked at their several shoe stores and retail liquor stores. After her husband's death in 1972, Sadye moved to the San Francisco Bay area and worked as an office manager until she was 82. Sadye was active in the East Bay Opera League, Hadassah and volunteered with theater groups in Berkeley. Sadye is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Maria Petrosino), Laguna Niguel, CA; Bob, Albuquerque; and Mark (Donnanne), Moss Beach, CA. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Barry Epstein (Cris) (Catie and Charlie); Stacey Epstein (Sol Henik) (Alexis Chaput, Aliyah Henik); and Sam P.L. Epstein. She was predeceased by her husband Sam, her parents Jacob and Etta Kitzes , and her siblings, Florence Price, Sophia Cohen, and Steve Kitzes . Sadye was strong, wise, independent and devoted to her family.
