      Joan Hamburger, 98, of Memphis, formerly of McGehee, Ark., former cotton farmer, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue, Hadassah, Salon Circle Friends and Meir Chayin Temple in McGehee. She leaves two daughters, Betty H. Green of Memphis and Irene Bisgier of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.; a brother, Gerd Valfer of New York City, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Beth Shalom Synagogue or Meir Chayin Temple.
