  GOLD--Gloria, a gentle and creative woman, died on August 18, 2015. Born Gloria Judith Lipsky in Rochester, N.Y., on June 17, 1924, she attended Indiana University and, while raising her family, graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1970. She was the devoted wife of Martin Gold, who died in 2012. She lived in White Plains, Manhattan, and Chevy Chase, Md. She loved books, opera, crossword puzzles, and a good joke. A prolific artist, she was a member of the Art Students League from 1978 until her death. Her paintings and collages adorn the walls of her children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She dearly loved her sisters Harriet and Esther; children Laurence, Matthew, and Emily, and their spouses Susanne, Lois, and Barney; grandchildren Marisa, David, Diana, Dana, Alice, Owen, Kira, and Clara; and her extraordinary extended family.
