    • David J. Schoenfarber, 69, of Hartsville-New Marlborough Road passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015.

Born November 6, 1945 in New York, New York, David was the son of Herman and Lillian Perry Schoenfarber. He attended local schools and graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in business as well as attending Brooklyn Law School.

Mr. Schoenfarber enlisted into the Army in 1968 and was medically discharged in 1971 after being seriously injured when a truck he was riding in rolled over.

David married his wife, the former Barbara Zucker on June 30, 1968. Together, the couple made their home in New York City, then Long Island and in 1998 they made Massachusetts their year round residence while still maintaining an apartment in New York that they used as their home and office.

David was bigger than life ? everyone who knew him, loved him. He loved each of his sons equally and often said, ?One father can love ten children more than ten children can love one father.?

He loved skiing, and during the winter months David was a fixture at the Butternut Ski Basin in Great Barrington, MA. He was well known for always wearing crazy hats, lifting the spirits of all those around him. He was also a member of Wyantenuck Country Club.

David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara, along with their sons Jeff, Steven, Harris and Adam. He also leaves his sister Harriett and his grandchildren Alexa, Ryan, Hayden, Avery and Marlo.
