| Notes |
- Debbie (Lisker) Lang, 56, of North Andover, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
She was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Harvey Lisker and the late Beverly Bissell. Debbie most recently lived with her family in North Andover since 2014, after moving from Andover where she and her family lived for 15 years. Married to the late George W. Lang for 21 years, she sadly leaves her two treasured sons Cory Lang and Joshua Lang and her beloved Maltese, Simba.
Raised in Utica, N.Y., Debbie graduated from Ithaca College in 1982 before coming back to the New England area in 1984 where she had a lengthy 16-year career in mortgage banking. After the birth of her sons, she made a new career of raising them and volunteering at their various schools and activities. She was a longtime volunteer and supporter of the Lazarus House Ministries in Lawrence, MA and was devoted to the staff and guests who came to the pantry for food and other assistance. Perhaps her greatest passion was to provide care and kindness to those in need. Her other passion was playing tennis where she had many years of competitive fun playing on many different teams.
In addition to her sons and father Harvey Lisker of Healdsburg, Calif., she is survived by her father's wife, Dorie Lurie Lisker, "sister" Dayle Pappastergion, step-sister, Judi Gorski of San Francisco; niece, Sara Williams of Boston, MA; nephews David Williams and wife, Katie Giovannucci of Eliot, Maine, Evin Williams and wife, Laura Sullivan of Dover, N.H.; and Eric Ouellette of Lowell, Adam Pappas and the late Ian Pappas. Also very special, her late mother's sisters Lila Frost of New Jersey and Barbara Cowen of Florida, many cousins on both her Lisker and Bissell sides, father-in-law, Gyorgy Lang of Florida; sisters-in-law, Eva Lang of New Hampshire and Peggy (Margaret) Lang Ouellette of Lowell; as well as her great niece, Tess Williams. Debbie will always be thankful for her friendships with Nancy, Paula, Deb, Susan and Danielle
