| Notes |
- Jackson Miss
Maurice H. Joseph, the inimitable commercial real estate developer and broker, died January 7, 2011, from a traumatic brain injury. He was known for his ubiquitous, poignant yellow and black signs, "TALK TO MAURICE JOSEPH", which were spread over Jackson for fifty plus years, where he reigned as the "king of commercial real estate".
His accomplishments, integrity, and acumen will easily be remembered by his loyal staff, devoted friends and family, and his wife, Lois, his daughters, Meril and Melissa Joseph and and his two stepsons, Alan and Bob Orkin .
People who knew Maurice, fondly referred to him as "Sonny". Each has a one of a kind story to tell about their relationship with him. He was that remarkable!
Besides his impressive legacy, Maurice was the consummate dealmaker.
His saying , "WE KNOW JACKSON", was no exaggeration.
A self-made man, he took great pride in each of the hundreds of deals he brokered.
Visitation will be from 12:30 till 2:00pm Sunday January 9, 2011 at Beth Israel Synagogue , followed by a service and burial at Beth Israel Cemetery. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
