  In the year of 1833, on the 31st day of the month of August, at 8 p.m., before us, Ludwig Weber, Mayor of Münchweiler, Civil Registrar of the municipality of Steinbach in the Canton of Waldmohr, district court of Zweibrücken in the Rhine district of the Kingdom of Bavaria, appeared, Elias Jacob, 28 years of age, Haberdasher [Kurzwarenhändler] in Steinbach, who presented us with a female infant which had been born in Steinbach on the 31st day of the month of October, at 7 p.m., into the marriage of the reporting and Hendel [pet form of Hanna] Zacharias, 22 years of age, without occupation, his wife, residing with her husband, and declared to give the abovementioned the first name Rosina. This declaration was made in the presence of Abraham Müller, 50 years of age, farmer in Steinbach, and of Peter Leonhard, 21 years of age, municipal scribe in Reichenbechstegen [that's what it looks like, there is a Reichenbach-Steegen in nowadays Rhineland-Palatinate, which is near Waldmohr], upon which --- and the witnesses have signed with us the present Birth act after it had been read aloud to them.
